New Zealand Privacy Act 2020

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles. We collect only what we need for a stated purpose, use it for that purpose, keep it appropriately secure, and do not sell personal information. You may ask for access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@ediblelandscapes.nz. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

What this site collects

ediblelandscapes.nz is a statically generated public website. It does not require accounts, comments, or a user database on this host. Season editions and weekly pieces are published as public HTML pages.

Newsletter signup. If you subscribe via the Subscribe page, your email (and optional first name) is sent to Mailchimp (Intuit), which processes the data to send publication notices when a new season week is published for Vector Group Charitable Trust. Subscribers are tagged for this publication only. Mailchimp may process data outside New Zealand under its terms. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.
Hosting / CDN. Cloudflare may process standard technical logs (for example IP address, browser type, request time, and pages requested) for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
RSS. If you use our RSS feed, your feed reader requests public pages from your device; we do not receive your email from RSS use alone.
We do not use third-party advertising, remarketing, or social-login trackers on this site.

Email enquiries

If you email hello@ediblelandscapes.nz, we use the details you send only to reply and, where relevant, to discuss the publication or related kai / food-resilience work. We do not add you to the mailing list from those messages unless you ask.

Children

This site is a general-audience publication. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe we hold such information, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.

Changes

We may update this notice as the site or our processing changes. The date at the top of this page will change when we do.
